The Best Town In The World

There is a small town, surrounded by trees,
Where the laughter of children
Floats on the breeze.
When you look out a window
You're most likely to see
A twittering bird, or a fat bumblebee.
The deer and the squirrels
Play especially hard.
It's as if all of Nature
Is in your backyard.
This wonderful Dreamland
Is known as Dadeville.
It's off of -- 280 on a low, rolling hill.
Through four distinct seasons
Enjoyed the year-round
It hosts fairs and pageants--
Town activities abound!
The lazy, Spring days and warm,
Summer nights
Are herald to wonders, magic,
Fun, and delights.
The Fall bursts with color;
The Winters are mild;
The ways of life, simple;
Like when you were a child.
Friends met here are helpful,
They're trusting and nice...
If forced to choose over,
You'd pick them all twice!
And people you chat with
Will likely know how
To can their own veggies,
Or milk a real cow.
One proud group of Thinkers
Has the greatest of jobs;
--To solve the World's problems
Over coffee at BOB'S.
The community strives to work
As a team;
To provide a quiet haven--
Make streets safe; keep them clean.
So, they built an amazing
Neighborhood Park,
Where the children can frolic
'Till almost full dark.
This miraculous landmark
And the art it displays,
Was just under construction
For five hectic days!!
And now it stands proudly
Just beyond the Town Square,
As a gift to Our Children...
A tribute we share.
Memories made here are special,
Unique, and enduring;
And Life's stress-free routine
Is completely alluring.
So, if you are looking
For a place to call Home...
Come to Dadeville, Dear Neighbor,
You no longer need roam.
